World Superbikes Calendar for 2020 Announced

When and where are the world superbikes getting back underway?

Series organisers Dorna have announced the World Superbikes calendar for 2020. The revised calendar proposed a maximum 12 rounds for the season. Round one has already been completed, while round eight is to be confirmed, and rounds 10, 11 and 12 are still to be determined.

Round, Grand Prix, Circuit and Date

1) Grand Prix of Australia (Phillip Island Circuit) already completed on 1^st March.

2) Grand Prix of Spain (Circuito de Jerez) on 2^nd August.

3) Grand Prix of Portugal (Autodromo Internacional do Algarve) on 9^th August.

4) Grand Prix of Aragon (MotorLand Aragon) on 30^th August.

5) Grand Prix of Teruel (MotorLand Aragon) on 6^th September.

6) Grand Prix of Catalan (Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya) on 20^th September.

7) Grand Prix of France (Circuit de Magny-Cours) on 4^th October.

8) Grand Prix of Argentina (Circuito San Juan Villicum) to be confirmed but planned for 11^th October.

9) Grand Prix of Italy (Misan World Circuit Marco Simoncelli) on 8^th November.

10) Grand Prix of Britain (Donington Park) to be determined, no date yet set.

11) Grand Prix of the Netherlands (TT Circuit Assen) to be determined, no date yet set.

12) Grand Prix of Qatar (Losail International Circuit) to be determined, no date yet set.

Competition for contracts intensifies

All riders will be looking to either earn a contract for next season or justify newly signed contracts, such as Jonathan Rea and Alex Lowes. The team-mates recently signed new deals to continue as Kawasaki’s flagship riders. It remains to be seen if the chasing pack of Ducatis, Yamahas, BMWs and Hondas can catch the speedy duo.
