4 Top Football Bets for the Rest of the Season
4 Top Football Bets for the Rest of the Season
The 2022/23 football season has already delivered plenty of drama and there will be much more to come as we accelerate towards the business end of the campaign.
While the title races in Italy and Spain appear to be foregone conclusions, there are still loads of other issues to be decided in Europe over the next few months.
Grabbing betting value at this stage of the season is no easy task, with the bookmakers now able to set their odds based on current form.
However, we have scoured the top betting sites to come up with four value bets that should give you a run for your money over the next few months.
Premier League
There is little to choose between Arsenal and Manchester City in the title race and there is no value to be had in back either side claim top spot.
It is a different story at the other end of the table, with the Premier League relegation market offering some extremely enticing odds.
Southampton and Bournemouth are the bookies’ favourites to drop into the Championship, with Everton tipped to be the third team to be relegated.
The Toffees’ decision to appoint Sean Dyche as manager should help their cause and the odds of 9/4 on offer for Leeds United to be relegated look too big to ignore.
FA Cup
With Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea already out of the FA Cup, the stage is set for one of the two Manchester clubs to go on and lift the trophy.
Man City are the favourites after drawing Bristol City in the last-16 and they should have no trouble progressing to the quarter-finals.
However, local rivals Man United will fancy their chances of making it through to the last eight after being handed a home tie against West Ham United.
United are much-improved under manager Erik ten Hag and look a great bet at odds of 7/2 to win the FA Cup for the first time since 2016.
Europa League
While there are some big-hitters in this season’s Europa League, this is often a competition that produces unexpected results in the knockout stage.
Arsenal, Barcelona and Man United are all prominent in the betting and it would be no surprise to see one of them get their hands on the trophy.
The value bet may well be Roma to reach the semi-finals, with the Serie A side available at odds of 7/2 to progress to the last four.
Jose Mourinho’s team won the Europa Conference League last season and the Portuguese manager will be eager to make his mark in UEFA’s second-tier competition.
Champions League
Reigning champions Real Madrid are bidding to win this competition for the 15th time and it would be a brave move to back against them achieving the feat.
Carlo Ancelotti’s side have gone off the boil a little in recent weeks, but always seem to raise their game when the Champions League comes around.
They have been handed a potentially tricky last-16 tie against Liverpool, although the Premier League outfit have underperformed massively this term.
The odds of 5/1 on offer for Madrid to reach the final are tempting and will disappear if they secure a positive result in their first leg meeting with the Reds.
