Euro 2020: Switzerland vs Spain Preview

After shocking World Cup champions France, Switzerland will be looking to extend their stay at Euro 2020 when they come up against Spain tonight in St Petersburg at 5pm.

Both teams endured very entertaining last 16 ties, which saw 14 goals scored in both games combined. However Spain scored two goals in extra time to see them through to the quarter-finals, while Switzerland had to go through a grueling penalty shootout, which saw Mbappe miss the deciding penalty and send the Swiss through.

Switzerland will be without suspended captain Granit Xhaka after the Arsenal midfielder picked up a yellow card, in his man of the match performance against France.
