British and Irish Lions vs Japan 2021: squad announcement
A pre tour match between the British & Irish Lions and Japan kicks off at Murrayfield, Edinburgh, for the Vodafone Lions 1888 Cup on Saturday June 26th at 3pm on Channel 4.
Warren Gatland has once again made a promise that every player in his 37 man squad will start a game before the first test against South Africa in Cape Town next month. A high moral is one of the most important aspects of a lions tour, with highly talented squads in the passed failing due to a lack of a one-for-all attitude.

There will be no English players in the starting squad against Japan on Saturday, as Gatland aims to give everyone an opportunity to prove themselves prior to the opening test against South Africa. The starting line-up on Saturday will look like this.
