England managed to fight back against South Africa in the second day test, proving they have what it takes to compete. South Africa slipped to 40-3 in reply to England’s 269 all out in the morning.
Dean Elgar and Dussen put on a fine display of 117 as England failed to take a wicket in the afternoon session. In the end England took 5 wickets meaning South Africa are trailing by 54 runs.
Stuart Broad and Anderson starred once again, while Sam Curran managed to pick up 2 wickets and Ben Stokes took 4 superb slip catches.
As it stands South Africa are 1-0 up in the four-Test series, something England want to start evening up.
